CCMR Accomplishments (August)

Through the COIN application process, we've discovered an amazing statistic: CCMR has retained a remarkable 18 of 20 researchers who have received VA CDA/MREP awards at the Ann Arbor VA over the past 17 years. Tim Hofer was the first to receive such award in 1995. This is a testament to the success of our Center in retaining high-quality researchers, and our researchers' unrelenting dedication to the VA and to Veterans.

In the News

The VA will support 12 of 27 new Robert Wood Johnson clinical scholars beginning in July 2013. The new Clinical Scholars are young physicians who were selected competitively from more than 90 applicants enrolled in medical and surgical residencies across the United States. In addition to the usual participation of a number of primary care physicians, this year’s class includes four OB/GYN specialists, four surgeons, and a urologist.

Amy Kilbourne was one of four VA researchers to receive the PECASE awards. This article highlights the work of these four researchers and the VA’s dedication to cutting-edge research for Veterans.
